About the Grand Warden

What the Warden does

The Grand Warden is the long-range support Hero. He helps a troop group survive the part of the hit where the base is doing the most damage.

  • He unlocks at Town Hall 11 with Hero Hall level 5.
  • Use Ground or Air mode to match the troops you want him to follow.
  • His seven-tile range makes ability timing and pathing more important than his own damage.
  • Do not start a long Warden upgrade right before war or CWL unless your roster has cover.

Use the Grand Warden in Attacks

Give the Warden one clear job

Decide whether he is supporting a smash, a blimp, a charge or an air push. Pick his mode and equipment before deployment so he follows the group you actually need alive.

Player checks before you drop him

  • Mode: set Ground or Air before the attack starts; changing your plan after deployment is too late.
  • Path: keep the Warden behind the troops you want inside his aura range.
  • Ability: hold it for the core, a blimp landing, or the defense stack that can end the push.
  • Replay check: if he drifts to the wrong group, fix the funnel or deployment order before changing equipment.

Defending with the Grand Warden

On defense, the Warden covers a small area around his Hero Banner. Place that zone near defenses that gain value from extra time, rather than on an easy edge pull.

Base review checks

  • Watch replays for a free Warden pull that drags him away from important defenses.
  • Keep his coverage near damage that can punish the army he is most likely to meet.
  • Do not expect him to carry the defense alone; use the position to add stall time for nearby defenses.

Majestic Grand Warden and Skins

Majestic Grand Warden and other Warden skins do not change range, stats, ability or equipment. Check the in-game Shop for current availability before spending Gems or a skin currency.

Grand Warden FAQ

The Grand Warden unlocks at Town Hall 11 with Hero Hall level 5.

The current maximum shown in this guide is level 85 at Town Hall 18 with Hero Hall level 12.

At Town Hall 12, the Grand Warden can reach level 40.

The cap is level 60 at TH14 and level 75 at TH17. The max-level card shows every Town Hall cap.

Use the level table for Elixir cost and the planner for remaining builder time. The planner does not include magic items, active upgrades or future balance changes.

Choose Healing Tome when your plan needs recovery. The Warden is mainly a support Hero, so the right timing and troop path matter as much as the equipment pair.

Start with the job: core protection, air support, a blimp target, or a high-value Fireball. Test the pair in a Friendly Challenge before spending more Ore.

Choose your Town Hall, then pick War, CWL, Farming or Trophy. Use a base that fits how you play.
