Base Layout Analysis
Town Hall / Core: TH18 War & CWL Base — Multi-Compartment Core is a War / CWL layout with a broad, irregular footprint and a dense multi-compartment inner core. The Town Hall sits within the inner build, so start there when you are comparing the board with your own village. The first impression is a layout with several decisions to make before changing traps or moving a defense.
Defensive Structure: The board uses separate wall-defined areas instead of one open central block. Key defenses are spread through the middle and the nearby compartments, so an attacker cannot read the entire base from one entry point. For the defender, that means there are several sensible places to check Clan Castle coverage, hero positions, and trap value after watching a replay.
Wall / Compartment Detail: The visible shape is a broad, irregular footprint, with a dense multi-compartment inner core. Those are useful player terms because they describe what you can actually see, rather than promising that the base hard-counters one army. Compare the wall joins around the core first, then look at which outer sections feel most likely to be opened by a Queen Charge, a siege machine, or a fast ground push.
Pathing and Entry: Pathing still depends on the attacker’s funnel, entry side, troop mix, and spell timing. This layout makes an attacking army move through more than one wall section before it reaches the inner compartments. That is worth testing, but it is not a guarantee of a forced route, a time fail, or a fixed star result. Run a few Friendly Challenges against the armies your clan actually sees.
Perimeter Detail: Exterior defenses and buildings sit around the main wall footprint, giving an attacker more than one side to examine. Keep an eye on those outside sections when you review replays: they are the easiest places to adjust a trap, pull a defense slightly deeper, or change which side looks inviting. Re-test the layout after a balance update instead of relying on old attack habits.
How to test it: Use the Copy Base panel above, save the layout in a spare village slot, and check it against your current defense levels. Start with one clean air hit and one ground hit, then watch where the funnel opens and which compartments lose value first. Make small changes one at a time so you can tell what actually improved the defense.
Before You Copy This Base
- Match the Town Hall: confirm the layout is for your current Town Hall before opening the copy link.
- Inspect the structure: use the placement notes above to check the Town Hall, resource compartments and wall network that matter for your goal.
- Review your defenses: after copying, compare your own defense levels and watch replays so you can adjust traps or exposed buildings for the attacks you actually face.
