Why I write about Clash of Clans

I started CocWarBase to keep my Clash of Clans notes in one place. I write about bases, wars, upgrades, and changes to the game as I see them.

I have a B.Tech in IT, which helps when I am sorting details and keeping guides current.

A Game Veteran

I have played through many versions of the game and do not agree with every change. Since Town Hall 13, I have often questioned how the rising rate of three-star attacks changes the defensive challenge. A good base should still make a three-star attack difficult.

I have also preferred the earlier Bronze-to-Legend League progression. I found those names simpler and more memorable than the current Ranked Battles names. These are my own views from playing the game.

How I write guides

  • Start with what you need to know.
  • Keep game facts and my own view apart.
  • Update a page when the game makes it old.
  • Add screenshots or links when they make something easier to check.

A base or army does not work the same way for everyone. Use what suits your Town Hall, troops, and the attacks you face.

On CocWarBase

I write pages for players who want a straightforward answer before they make a move.

Base layouts

Layouts for war, farming, trophy pushing, and progress.

Game changes

Notes on updates, menus, and features when they change.

Personal views

My own take is shown as an opinion, not as a fact.

Independence and disclosure

CocWarBase is a fan site. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Supercell. Clash of Clans and related marks belong to their owners.

Ads help run the site, but they do not decide what I write. Guides explain what I see in the game; they do not promise an attack or defence result.
