Base Layout Analysis
TH17 War Base Analysis — Tight Central-Stack, Radial Configuration
Design Classification:
This layout follows a central-stack radial architecture, a design philosophy in which all critical defensive assets are consolidated into a single core compartment rather than distributed across multiple defensive clusters. The base grid is rotated 45 degrees (diamond orientation), and compartment walls extend outward from the core in a spoke-like radial pattern, generating elongated diagonal pathing lanes rather than short cardinal approaches.
Strategic Intent:
The radial spoke pattern is a deliberate anti-pathing mechanism. By forcing ground troops to traverse extended, winding routes before reaching the core, the design maximizes cumulative time-in-range against splash and single-target defenses, increasing the probability of a defensive kill-box effect before troops establish a foothold near the Town Hall.
Core Compartment:
The central cell contains a high-density cluster of what appear to be top-tier point and splash defenses, consistent with standard central-stacking principles at this Town Hall level — namely, protecting Eagle Artillery- and Inferno Tower-class assets behind maximum wall layering and defensive overlap. Definitive building-type identification is constrained by image resolution; the structural stacking pattern, however, is unambiguous.
Area-Damage Distribution:
Multiple large domed structures, consistent with Scattershot-class splash defenses, are positioned at staggered radii from the core rather than centralized in a single ring. This distribution suggests an intent to maintain area-damage coverage across sequential attack phases, rather than front-loading splash defense entirely at the perimeter or entirely at the core.
Hero Placement:
Hero units are positioned off-core, near the upper base boundary, alongside supporting.
Before You Copy This Base
- Match the Town Hall: confirm the layout is for your current Town Hall before opening the copy link.
- Inspect the structure: use the placement notes above to check the Town Hall, resource compartments and wall network that matter for your goal.
- Review your defenses: after copying, compare your own defense levels and watch replays so you can adjust traps or exposed buildings for the attacks you actually face.
